With unprecedented support from staff, students, alumni and community partners, the Campaign surpassed all its projected targets. Totals from the six week internal Campaign include:

  • Twenty events held, raising $19,510.
  • A total of $100,115 raised, surpassing the $70,000 Campaign goal by $30,115;
  • One-to-one government matching, bringing the Campaign total to $200,230.

The internal $70,000 goal was 10 per cent of the College’s overall $700,000 target to maximize government matching funds before March 31. President Agnew also announced that this goal was surpassed with $1,058,000 raised, thanks to community partners, external donors and a $200,000 contribution from the Seneca Student Federation.

The event concluded with the exciting news that the SSF will also be donating an additional $1 million to establish the “Seneca Student Federation Bursary Program,” an endowment to support students in need for many years to come.
