ANI510 - Character Polygon Model

This course is designed to teach students about the principals of 3D and how they relate to organic modeling.  Students will learn to function efficiently within the 3DS interface and use the program as a tool to visualize interesting and dynamic 3D characters.

ANI514 - Texturing and Painting for Animators

Over the duration of this course students will learn to develop game type textures by applying traditional painting techniques in Photoshop. Many traditional and new cg tips and techniques will be employed to create realistic textures. Students will also learn to "unwrap" objects so that they may be textured.

ANI520 - Lighting for Animators

This course focuses on creating the scene's mood with various type of lights and rendering skill in 3dmax. The student will explore various lighting setups to understand how to best place lights in the scene.

ANI530 - Game Animation

In this subject the student will explore the techniques and skills required to create game centric character animations.Looping and full cutscene animation will be explored. The student will learn about the principles of animation and how they are applied to characters, how to rig and skin characters and how they are properly set up and animated.

In this subject the student will learn to develop environments and art assets for game engines. Typical game assets include: ground, buildings, vegetation, tools, vehicles etc.

ANI550 - Game Engine Integration for Animators

This course will describe the technologies (historical to current) that are employed in the creation of Video Games.  Workflow enhancing utilizes and applications will be demonstrated and various game engines will be used to present exported 3D Art.  The creation of video files and compression formats will also be examined.
