This subject continues the searching of general periodical databases and library catalogues, with the addition of web searching using search engines. It focuses on efficiently and effectively finding information about topics.
LIT210 - Library Promotions
This subject focuses on the creation and review of products for library promotion. Some of the products covered include displays and exhibits, handouts and bookmarks, and web pages.
LIT250 - Placement and Work Skills
This subject prepares students for their field placements and introduces the library workplace. Behaviours and attitudes are stressed. Activities for finding and applying for employment in libraries are begun. Resumes, interviews and cover letters are reviewed with a resume for the first field placement being prepared. Also included in this subject are customer service and special audiences in libraries.
