Graduates with a 2 year diploma: Applicants who have completed a 2 year program who have achieved a cumulative average of ‘B’ or better will be considered for admission with advanced standing to a maximum of 18 credits (1/2 year).

Graduates with a 3 year diploma: Applicants who have completed a 3 year program who have achieved a cumulative average of ‘B’ or better will be considered for admission with advanced standing to a maximum of 30 credits (1 year).

Graduates with one year of college or Certificate Program graduates: Applicants who have completed the first full year (two semesters) of a college diploma program or graduates of a one-year (two semesters) certificate program with a cumulative average of “B” or better will be considered for admission on probation. Students will not be eligible for advanced standing. Program specific subject requirements must still be met in order to be considered for some programs.


Seneca Program: Accounting and Finance - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Accounting & Financial Planning - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Business Administration - Financial Planning - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Human Resources - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - International Business - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Management, Business Administration - Marketing - (Optional Co-op), Business Administration - Purchasing and Supply Management

Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce

Graduates of these three-year Business Administration Advanced diploma programs with a cumulative 3.2 GPA can be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration degree with advanced standing to a maximum of 60 credits (2 years). Admitted students would be able to complete their program at Nipissing University in North Bay or through one of our college partners.

Graduates of these three-year Business Administration Advanced diploma programs with a cumulative 3.2 GPA can be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce degree with advanced standing to a maximum of 45 credits (1.5 years). Admitted students would be able to complete their program at Nipissing University in North Bay, through one of our college partners or online as an independent learner.


Seneca Program: Accounting and Payroll - (Optional Co-op), Accounting, Business - Insurance, Business - International Business, Business - Marketing, Business

Degree: Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Commerce

Graduates of these two-year Business diploma programs with a cumulative 3.2 GPA can be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration degree with advanced standing to a maximum of 42 credits (1.5 years). Admitted students would be able to complete their program at Nipissing University in North Bay or at one of our college partners by using a combination of online, and where available, blended delivery courses.

Graduates of these two-year Business diploma programs with a cumulative 3.2 GPA can be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce degree with advanced standing to a maximum of 30 credits (1 year). Admitted students would be able to complete their program at Nipissing University in North Bay or at one of our college partners by using a combination of online, and where available, blended delivery course.


Seneca Program: Early Childhood Education - (Accelerated)

Degree: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education

Graduates with a minimum cumulative ‘B’ average (3.0 GPA) are eligible for admission with advanced standing to a maximum of 30 credits (1 year). Applicants are also eligible for Nipissing’s Concurrent Education program. Contact the Admissions Office at admissions@nipissingu.ca.


Seneca Program: Law Clerk, Police Foundations

Degree: Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Criminal Justice (Legal Studies and Administration Stream or Policing Stream)

Graduates of these 2 year diploma programs with a cumulative average of “B+” (3.5 GPA) or better can be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program (Legal Studies and Administration or Policing) with advanced standing to a maximum of 45 credits (1.5 years). Other programs can be applied to with a ‘B’ average and a maximum of 30 credits of advanced standing granted.


Seneca Program: Social Service Worker - Gerontology, Social Service Worker - Immigrants and Refugees, Social Service Worker

Degree: Bachelor of Arts

Graduates with a cumulative ‘B’ average (3.0 GPA) or better will be considered for admission to a Bachelor of Arts program with advanced standing to a maximum of 30 credits (1 year).


Seneca Program: Chemical Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Civil Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Computer Engineering Technology - (Optional Co-op), Mechanical Engineering Technology - Building Sciences - (Optional Co-op), Mechanical Engineering Technology - Industrial Design

Degree: Bachelor of Science in Science and Technology – Engineering Technology Stream

Graduates with a minimum cumulative ‘B’ average (3.0 GPA) are eligible for admission consideration with advanced standing to a maximum of 60 credits (2 years) to a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Science and Technology (Engineering Technology stream).
