“Everything old is new” exhibit to highlight pieces from Seneca’s Fashion Resource Centre

Toronto, April 30, 2012 – Seneca College’s Fashion Resource Centre will showcase some of the collections’ newest pieces ranging from a dress worn by a Civil War widow to an Edwardian top hat in the “Everything old is new” exhibit.

“From this collection our students have learned how fashions have been designed, constructed, embellished and created,” said Dale Peers, Costume Co-ordinator for Seneca’s Fashion Resource Centre. “The collection gives us a glimpse into how fashion is revised and re-created to be new again and serves as inspiration for our students as they create the fashion of tomorrow.”

A guest reception and exclusive tour of the exhibit and Art Collection will be held on opening night Monday, April 30 beginning at 6 p.m.

“Everything old is new” is a free exhibit which is open to the public and runs from Monday, April 30 to Friday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in The Boutique@Seneca College (B2024), Newnham Campus, 1750 Finch Avenue East, Toronto.
