Amsdell makes $50,000 donation towards an endowed scholarship at Seneca

Toronto, May 14, 2012 – Amsdell is continuing a long standing tradition of supporting Seneca students, with a new gift of $50,000 toward an endowed scholarship fund for students in information and communications technology software development and IT administration programs.
With this gift, the fund has a total value of $100,000, all of which has been matched by the provincial government’s Ontario Trust for Student Support program.
“Amsdell has been a terrific partner and friend of the College,” said Daniel Atlin, Vice-President of Strategy and College Affairs. “With their support, students from these programs go on to do great things.”
“We are pleased that Amsdell has invested in our students’ futures with this gift,” said Mary-Lynn Manton, Co-Chair of the School of Information and Communications Technology. “Each year, promising students who need financial assistance to achieve their goals will receive this scholarship, thanks to Amsdell.”
The Amsdell Scholarship is awarded to Information and communication technology software development and IT administration students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and financial need.
