Seneca again named one of Greater Toronto’s top employers

Toronto, Dec. 15, 2016 - Once again, Seneca has been named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2017. This year’s list was included in a special editorial supplement in the Globe and Mail.

The Greater Toronto’s Top 100 Employers competition has become increasingly competitive over the years, and recognizes employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs. This is the seventh time that Seneca has been named a top employer in the region.

Some of the reasons Seneca was selected as one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers (2017) include:

  • Seneca helps employees plan securely for the future with contributions to a defined benefit pension plan and retirement planning assistance
  • Seneca supports employees who are new mothers and fathers (including adoptive parents) with generous maternity and parental leave top-up payments of up to 93% of salary, ranging from 37 to 52 weeks
  • Seneca maintains a Diversity and Equity Office responsible for education, training, awareness and prevention programs -- and also recently established an Accessibility Policy with the intent to make the College a barrier-free environment by 2025
