
| Eco-polytechnic leadership acknowledges the role of the Seneca College as an engaged intellectual participant in existing and emerging discussions on matters broadly concerned with restorative development, climate change, the environment, energy management, sustainability, and other topics which align with these issues. This leadership includes applied research, participation in public issues, contracted delivery of services, and the College’s assumption of the global secretariat for the Revitalization Institute (RI). |

| MAJOR PRIORITIES | ||
| 1. Expanding the eco-polytechnic identity of Seneca College is part of the strategy for attaining a tipping point of awareness of the concept of restorative development and Seneca’s global leadership role as the world’s leading eco-polytechnic organization. Support for environmental initiatives at Seneca include greening the ECE program and labs, and application to Toronto’s Project Green; contributing to the environmental job placement opportunities for clients of the Workforce Skills program and a Green Economic Summit; participating with the Centre for the Built Environment in engaging faculty and students of the Environmental Site Remediation applied degree program in the Canadian Brownfield Conference in; adding value or laying the foundation for successful submissions by the Energy Training Office for work with the Canadian Geo-Exchange Coalition, EnWave Corporation, the Ontario Power Authority, Natural Resources Canada through St. Lawrence College, and the Social Housing Services Corporation of Ontario. |
