Travel Broadens the Mind!

Students in OPM610 along with faculty member Mary Drane, had the chance to visit this awesome automotive electronics company Autoliv located in Markham. Plant tours like this show everyone various production processes for all kinds of products. ...and here they are at Toyota last Fall.

Campus Spotlight

Students, prospective students, parents and members of the Seneca Community came together on November 26 to enjoy the first Seneca College Campus 'spotlight' - formerly called Open Houses. Because of the Faculty of Business' prominent position at the entrance to the KIP Building, the Centre for Human Resources and the School of Business Management enjoyed the happy opportunity to welcome visitors to view exhibits, meet Seneca President David Agnew, SBM/CHR professors and staff (pictured above), and attend presentations, campus tours and various showcasing activities highlighting all the programs that Seneca has to offer.
GBM Grads become Green Citizens
Green Business Graduate students helped out at Seneca's Green Citizen Conference. Pictured with the Green Business Graduate students is the keynote speaker for the conference Andrew Bowerbank, former head of the World Green Building Council. JP Brown, a graduate of Seneca's Green Business Management Graduate Certificate also spoke at the conference.

Each Fall, students in the Entrepreneurship diploma program take their ideas for a business to venture capitalists and pitch for funding. The competition is tough, but fun.

Near the end of the Fall semester, the HRSA successfully conducted the elections for the executive body for the year 2011-12. There was an increase of 82% in the voter turnout this year compared to 2010. This shows great student interest and confirms the good work that has been done by the previous executive committee.
