Visual Effects for film and television
The Animation Arts program is designed to give the student skills necessary to succeed in both the traditional and computer animation production industry. Emphasis will be on the artistic application of the theories of motion, timing, storytelling, entertainment and the use of the most current technology required to function successfully in the competitive world of 2D and 3D animation.
Digital Animation program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of 3D computer-based modeling and animation utilizing the latest in high-end computer workstations. The emphasis of the program is on learning the tools to problem solve, and to create finished portfolio projects using Maya animation software.
The 3D Gaming program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of 3D computer-based game development techniques, modeling and animation utilizing the latest in high-end computer workstations. The emphasis of the program is on learning the tools to problem solve, and to create finished game based portfolio projects using 3D MAX animation software.
The Visual Effects program is designed to introduce students to the various techniques used to create visual effects for film and television. The focus of the course is to explore the software tools used to create visual effects and issues involved in combining these effects with live action footage. The student's final projects will be used to create a finished portfolio. We also offer a one-day workshop or five-day corporate training in Discreet's Combustion.
