Whether you are fresh out of high school or returning to school, entering college is a whole new experience. It’s exciting, challenging, demanding, stressful and somewhat overwhelming. All students begin their college journey with high hopes – hopes for a diploma or degree, a good job after graduation, and a good life. Getting into college is one thing. Staying in college and being successful is quite a different matter.

SUCCESS@Seneca is a multi-dimensional student success program that is based on a pro-active and collaborative approach. Students are encouraged to take charge of their destiny in an encouraging, supportive, learning environment.

Take charge of your destiny. The only person who is responsible for your future is you. This is your time, your future, your life – strive to bring out the best!

Transition and Orientation

By fully participating in this extensive and extended transition and orientation component, you will acquire a strong sense of belonging and connection, academic preparedness, motivation and inspiration, increased self-confidence, knowledge of the campus environment, awareness of college resources and services and an understanding of college expectations. This is a great way to get "College Ready"!

Success@College – Online Portal

Log on to this online portal at any time for helpful information pertaining to study skills, careers, relationships and many other topics. This portal will also be our way of communicating important information with you. So, check in often.

College Coach Approach

You will be connected with an employee of the college (College Coach), who will meet with you once every two weeks for no more than 20 minutes. Your coach will listen to you, help you clarify any issues, and help keep you on-track, motivated, and connected. They may also refer you to the appropriate college resource when needed. It is critical that you meet with your coach on a regular basis throughout your first year. The benefits of this connection are endless.

Success Workshops and Events

Several interactive and meaningful workshops will be offered. You will also be invited to attend social events throughout the year. Your attendance and participation in these events will lead to enhancing your academic, career and personal development. Workshops and Events will be posted on the online portal.
