EMM630 - Festivals and Trade Shows
Festivals are a large component of the cultural fabric of a nation. Community festivals are an integral component of Event Marketing as students will learn the economic importance of festivals, how to write grants for funding, managing community volunteers, attracting sponsors, promotion of festivals and evaluating festivals. The business of managing trade shows, both consumer and business will be investigated. Students will learn how to market trade shows to potential vendors and to the appropriate target audience. This subject involves students in the planning and management of a trade show including: staffing, promotion, budgeting, training, signage, and evaluation.
Pre-requisites: Semesters 1 � 4 subjects, MRK575 and EMM520
