LIT250 - Placement and Work Skills
This subject prepares students for their field placements and introduces the library workplace. Behaviours and attitudes are stressed. Activities for finding and applying for employment in libraries are begun. Resumes, interviews and cover letters are reviewed with a resume for the first field placement being prepared. Opportunities for part-time, summer and volunteer positions in libraries and the information industry are covered. Also included in this subject are customer service and special audiences in libraries.
Co-requisites: Completion of, or registration in, all second semester LIT subjects.
