The Centre provides a direct
path to a wide variety of exciting careers in a "mega-business" that involves
the provision of tourism (encompassing travel, hospitality,
and lodging), and leisure services (involving a myriad of
recreation facilities, outdoor sites, programs and activities). We have designed our
two-year diploma programs so that you can achieve two related college diplomas in a three
year period. By earning two diplomas and participating in a greater number of work
experiences in the three years through our co-operative education or required field
placement programs, you will have a decided edge in your pursuit of a rewarding career in
this exciting and challenging industry.
Industry trends now offer a
wide range of opportunities that require you to have a broader range of recreation and
tourism skills. Large recreation complexes and resorts, for example, seek graduates with
knowledge and skills in both fields. The new TLS curriculum allows you to customize your
learning to meet these new job market opportunities. We think you will find the dynamics
and interrelationships of our programs within the Centre for Tourism and Leisure Services
interesting and beneficial as you embark on your quest for an exciting and challenging
career.

King Campus also offers several affiliated and rather unique programs for those who seek
hands-on or physically demanding jobs in the great outdoors...
Our Outdoor Resources
academic cluster consists of 3 highly specialized, technical programs and a post-diploma,
outdoor recreation program. Whether you aspire to work in the depths of our lakes and
oceans, vast wilderness areas, national and provincial parks, camps, highly cultivated
golf and country clubs or a heavily used community park, Seneca has a program for you.
