Change something for the better at Seneca.
Since we opened our doors in 1967, innovation has been central to Seneca’s culture and success. This has included groundbreaking academic programs, an early embrace of distance learning, leadership in continuing education, the first degree at an Ontario college and many firsts in technology.
Through Seneca Innovates, all employees can submit their ideas, inspirations and suggestions for solving a problem, improving a service or process or changing something for the better at Seneca. Submitting an idea is the first step. The Seneca Innovates initiative will help innovators to refine their ideas, build partnerships and implement them through assistance from the Innovation Council.
The council, consisting of a diverse, multi-campus group of innovators and creative thinkers, has two types of members:
- Innovation Champions who guide innovators along the path of building partnerships, refining the idea and preparing a pitch
- Innovation Reviewers who review finalized ideas and pitches, and make recommendations to Seneca’s Senior Executive Committee about implementing them
