Salesforce Administrator (SFR101)

This microcredential will cover customization, configuration, user management, data modelling, automation, reports and data security within the Salesforce platform. You will get hands-on experience to develop the key skills necessary to become a certified Salesforce Administrator.

• navigate effectively through the Salesforce platform
• build custom functionality to make processes efficient and seamless for the user
• organize and input data into the platform for easy retrieval and analysis through a solid understanding of data structures with objects, fields and relationships
• customize your mobile experience with the Salesforce app
• use Lightning Experience effectively to help visualize key business metrics in real time

This microcredential will cover validations, picklists, marketing campaigns, user authentication, leads and opportunities, pricing and data security within the Salesforce platform. You will complete assignments through Salesforce’s online learning platform (Trailhead), as well as those designed and assessed by Seneca faculty. You should have some basic knowledge of Salesforce prior to enrolling. 

• design formulas and validations to display data in a simplified way for users
• analyze data security requirements to secure access to Salesforce orgs, objects, fields and records
• evaluate when to use a picklist and what type to use to meet a business requirement
• describe how to manage and convert leads to support an effective sales process
• design and set up multifactor user authentication

This microcredential will cover lighting, mobile app customization, companywide setting and Salesforce flow. It will also help you prepare for the Certified Salesforce Administrator examination. You should have some basic knowledge of Salesforce prior to enrolling.

• describe and translate business requirements into company settings
• choose and apply the best tool to automate business processes across the Salesforce platform
